Sheridan City Council Preview

The second and final regularly scheduled Sheridan City Council meeting of October will be held on Monday night. Sheridan’s Mayor John Heath said the meeting will include two staff updates.

Bullying has been and continues to be a problem in today’s society. Sheridan’s WYO Theater is bringing in a production about bullying from Iowa’s Working Group Theater called Out of Bounds Thursday according to the WYO’s Executive Director Erin Butler.

Chamber Lunch Draws Huge Crowd

The conference room at Sheridan’s Holiday Inn was filled with people during the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce’s monthly luncheon Wednesday. The event was so well attended that another table had to be brought in to accommodate the extra attendees.

Kendrick Park Bathrooms Vandalized

On Saturday night, both men’s restrooms in Sheridan’s Kendrick Park were vandalized with graffiti. According to Sheridan Police Department’s Lt. Travis Koltiska, Kendrick Park was not the only place that was tagged.

Truck Crash Results in Fire Near Gillette

On Saturday, a Peterbilt commercial truck towing a trailer crashed into two separate propane tanks and a storage shed resulting in a fire. The crash closed Wyoming State Highway 51 east of Gillette for an extended period and the crash resulted in the death of the trucks driver.

City Council Candidates Stop By Public Pulse

On Monday, two of the candidates for the three seats available on the Sheridan City Council stopped by our news talk show public pulse. Current City Councilman Thayer Shafer was the first to talk about his history in Sheridan.

The Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce will host their October luncheon Wednesday. According to the chambers Director of Marketing and Communications Ryan Koltiska, the speaker will be Sheridan Memorial Hospital’s CEO.

No School for District #2 on Monday

Sheridan County School District #2 will be having a teacher in service training day on Monday and there will be no school. Classes will resume on Tuesday.

US 14 Closed

US Highway 14 is closed due to a crash between Elk View and Dayton School. Expect high impact traffic between Cody and Sheridan. Use extreme caution and buckle up.

2nd Annual Spear-O at The Brinton Museum

11 artists spent a week in July on retreat at Northern Wyoming Community College District’s Spear-O Mountain Campus and now their works will be featured in the 2nd Annual Spear-O at The Brinton Museum exhibition.

October Science Saturday

On Saturday, Science Kids and the Sheridan College Museum of Discovery will be hosting their October Science Saturday event. Kids and their parents will have an opportunity to explore a morning of cool chemistry. In addition, the museum will be open to explore the paleontology exhibits.

Motorized Access Extended on Three Routes in the Bighorn National Forest
