TRACK AND FIELD - The Sheridan high school track teams competed at an invitational in Billings Saturday and had some good results.

The highlight came from Bronc distance runner Micheal Rotellini who finished 2nd in the 3200 meters running his fastest time ever and also met the state meet qualifying standards in that event.

Sheridan high school will host two meets this week, the first annual "Gary Benson" Memorial meet will take play tomorrow afternoon at Homer Scott stadium with events getting underway at 2:00.

Teams from the three big schools in Billings will join the Casper schools, Gillette, Cody and Sheridan.

Sheridan high school Activities Director Don Julian says having this meet is way to honor a longtime Sheridan educator and coach Gary Benson.

Sheridan high school Head track coach Art Bauers says this is a big week for all their athletes. And he says tomorrow's event will be a lot of fun for watching some great high school track action.

Saturday the annual "Dan Hansen" invitational track meet will be held at Sheridan high school events will get underway at 10:00.

BRONC / LADY BRONC SOCCER - The Bronc and Lady Bronc soccer teams swept their matches with Gillette Friday the Broncs shut out the Camels 2-0 the Lady Broncs needed overtime and stayed unbeaten with a 2-1 victory.

This week he Broncs have road matches in Laramie and at Cheyenne South while the Lady Broncs host the Plainsmen and Bison.

ROCKIES BASEBALL - The Colorado Rockies blew took two out of three in a weekend series with Arizona. Tonight they open a three games series with San Diego broadcast time tonight is at 6:05 on Sports / Talk 87.7 FM.
