Weekend Sports Wrap up

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs whipped Casper Kelly Walsh 62-14 to advance to this week’s football semi final they will host Cheyenne Central the Indians eliminated Rock Springs this past Friday.

The Broncs got it rolling early against KW taking a 42-7 lead at halftime and stretch it out to 56-7 after three quarters.

Head coach Jeff Mowry says they wanted to start fast and that’s exactly how it went down.

And now it’s onto the next step against a very good Cheyenne Central team.

RAMS FOOTBALL - The Big Horn Rams crushed Wind River 82-0 to roll into the 1-A semi finals they will play Southeast at home Friday night.

COWBOY FOOTBALL - The Wyoming cowboys are 6-2 overall they play at Boise state Saturday night the game will be broadcast on KWYO and 106.9 FM pregame at 7:00 with kickoff at 8:15.

BRONCO FOOTBALL - The Denver Broncos beat the Cleveland Browns 24-19 and will head back out on the road Sunday to play at Minnesota that will be an early start with kickoff at 11:00.

HIGH SCHOOL VOLLEYBALL - Wyoming high school volleyball regional tournaments finished up Saturday the only Sheridan county team still alive are the Tongue River Lady Eagles they will open the class 2-A state tournament Thursday afternoon at 3:00 against Sundance.

HAWKS JUNIOR HOCKEY - The Sheridan junior Hawks hockey swept home games with Helena, Montana winning 12-4 and 7-2 they are back at home this week hosting the Missoula, Montana Bruins.

Friday night the Hawks will celebrate military appreciation night all military and veterans will get free admission into the game the team will also auction off game worn jerseys and all proceeds will go the WYO West Warrior Foundation.

Game time Friday is at 7:30 Saturday they drop the puck at 7:00.

SC HOOPS - The Sheridan college Generals and Lady Generals basketball teams open the season tomorrow night in the Hoffman dome against Western Nebraska game times will be at 5:30 and 7:30.
