Weekend Local Sports Wrap up

BRONC / LADY BRONC X-COUNTRY - The Sheridan high school cross country teams wrapped up their season Saturday in the state championships the Lady Broncs were 5th the Broncs were 4th, Head coach Art Bauers says all in all both teams had a pretty good day.

And the state meet capped off a very good season from the both teams.

SWIMMING / DIVING - The Lady Bronc swimmers and divers finished 2nd at their conference meet in Cheyenne Saturday they are now this week as they prepare for the state meet in which starts November 1st in Laramie.

VOLLEYBALL - The Lady Bronc volleyball team along with Big Horn, Tongue River and Arvada / Clearmont open their post season this week at regional tournaments.

The Lady Broncs will be Gillette, Big Horn will play in Glenrock, Tongue River will play in Lander and A/C will be in Newcastle.

The Sheridan college volleyball team dropped both matches at Western Wyoming and Central Wyoming they will play on the road Thursday at Western Nebraska.

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs whipped Cheyenne East 41-15 Head coach Jeff Mowry says they knew it was a big game and the Broncs went out and got the job done.

The Broncs ran for over 300 yards and Mowry says the Bronc O-line did a great job against the T-Birds.

Now they take on Rock Springs in the playoff quarterfinals Friday night they beat the Tigers in the regular season opener and Mowry says this will be a whole new ballgame Friday. The game will kickoff Friday at 6:00.

RAMS FOOTBALL - The Big Horn Rams crushed Southeast 63-20, the Rams will host Wind River Friday evening in their first round playoff game that will kickoff at 5:00.

EAGLES FOOTBALL - The Tongue River Eagles ended their season with a victory at Wright 26-20.

COWBOY FOOTBALL - The Wyoming Cowboys dropped their home game with Utah state Saturday 24-16 after the loss Cowboy Head coach Craig Bohl. This week it's the battle for the bronze boot as the Pokes play at CSU Friday night kickoff is at 8:00.

BRONCO FOOTBALL - The Denver Broncos play a road game to Kansas City Sunday.
