Weekend Local Sports Wrap up

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball teams took on Cheyenne Central and Cheyenne East the Lady Broncs dropped two while the Broncs picked up two important victories.

The Lady Broncs lost to Central 47-36 and battled East Saturday but came up short 53-48, after the East game Head coach Larry Ligocki.

They head to Cheyenne South and Laramie this week for two big games they beat both teams at home and at least one win this weekend could qualify for a spot in the regional tournament.

The Broncs had a great weekend they took care of Central 59-43 and came from behind twice in the second half to beat East 58-55 Head coach Jeff Martini says it was a very good performance against the T-Birds Saturday.

Now they go out on the road for two more tough games at Cheyenne South and Laramie.

RAMS / EAGLES BASKETBALL - The Big Horn Rams and Lady Rams swept games with Tongue River, the girls won 47-28 the boys 72-55 both teams dropped games at Wright Saturday.

The Eagles and Lady Eagles hosted games with Moorcroft Saturday the girls lost 63-45 the Eagles crushed the Wolves 98-47.

SC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college Generals and Lady Generals split in Miles City, Montana Saturday the Lady Generals lost 68-53 the Generals won 84-6 they both play at Little Big Horn Wednesday, the next home games are Saturday against Gillette.

COWBOY BASKETBALL - The Wyoming Cowboys lost at UNLV 85-70 they play at San Diego state Wednesday night you can hear the game on KWYO and 106.9 FM broadcast time is at 8:30.

COWGIRL BASKETBALL - The Cowgirls whipped UNLV 69-56 they host San Diego state Wednesday.

WRESTLING - The Bronc wrestlers are headed to their conference tournament this weekend in Cheyenne which will seed all the wrestlers for next week's all-class state championships.

SWIMMING / DIVING The Bronc swimmers will compete at the Wyoming state swimming and diving championships 4-A prelims start in Laramie Friday.

SRD - The Sheridan Recreation District postponed last Saturday's "Be My Valentine" fun run because of weather, race organizer Seth Ulevstad says they will run the event this coming Saturday with the same start time in Thorne-Rider park.
