BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan high school basketball teams swept Billings Skyview for the second time this season then they swept games with Natrona county Saturday.

The Lady Broncs beat Natrona county 55-53 they built up an 18 point halftime lead before NC roared back but the Lady Broncs held them off in the final minute Head coach Jessica Pickett.

The Broncs beat Natrona leading the game wire to wire to finish up non conference play at 10-2 Head coach Gale Smith.

And Smith says it was a very good first half of the season for the Broncs.

They open conference play this week the girls will play at Laramie and Cheyenne South while the Broncs host and Smith says they have to be very tough at home.

RAMS / EAGLES BASKETBALL - The Big Horn and Tongue River basketball teams met in Dayton Friday night splitting the action.

The Lady Eagles took the girls game 51-36 while the Rams beat the Eagles 58-46.

The Big Horn hosts teams swept games with Kaycee Saturday and the Eagles and Lady Eagles won with Riverside.

A/C BASKETBALL - The Arvada / Clearmont the Panthers and Lady Panthers swept games from Hulett Friday night the girls won 51-45 and the boys 54-44.

SC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college basketball teams are back at home Wednesday hosting Central Wyoming. games are at 5:30 and 7:30 we will have the Generals game live on 87.7 FM ESPN radio.

AFC/ NFC CHAMPIONSHIPS - The Denver Broncos will play the Seattle Seahawks in the Super Bowl February 2nd in New Jersey.

The Broncos beat New England 26-16 in the AFC title game Sunday. The Seahawks held off San Francisco 23-17 in the NFC championship.

WESTON JOHNSON - Sheridan high school football assistant coach and former UW standout linebacker Weston Johnson passed away Friday afternoon at his home in Wray, Colorado after a year long battle with cancer.

A memorial service for Weston will be held Saturday afternoon at the Wray high school gymnasium at 2:00.
