Weekend Local Sports Wrap up

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball teams won three of four games over the weekend.

The Lady Broncs lost at Natrona 62-51 but came back Saturday for a 61-31 win over Riverton.

They are 3-1 and will open play at the Flaming Gorge classic tournament in Green River Thursday afternoon against Star Valley.

The Broncs are 4-0 after sweeping Natrona county and Riverton, the beat NC 69-55 and blew out Riverton Saturday 75-47, Head coach Gale Smith says it was nice to play well Saturday after a big victory Friday night.

Now at 4-0 he says it was good to see and beat two good Wyoming 4-A schools.

They join the Lady Broncs in Green River for three games this week and Smith says it will be a good road test.

And with a short week Smith says the players have to remain focused to beat successful in Green River.

BH BASKETBALL - The Big Horn basketball teams both went 1-2 on the weekend at tournaments in Glenrock and Wright, this week they have more tournament play at the Foothills classic hosted by Wyoming Indian and Wind River high schools.

TR BASKETBALL - The Tongue River basketball teams split with Rocky Mountain Friday with the Lady Eagles winning, on Saturday they dropped games at Lovell which broke the Lady Eagles 33 game winning streak both teams play at the Foothills classic this week.

BRONC WRESTLING - The Sheridan Bronc wrestlers finished 13th out of 33 teams at the Rapid City invitational over the weekend.

The top to individuals were Braxton Cooper and Tory Music they both finished 2nd, Dominic Miller placed 8th. This week the Broncs compete at the Worland duals Friday and Saturday.

COWGIRL BASKETBALL - The Wyoming Cowgirls beat Ball state 71-51 Saturday, this week they host Montana tomorrow night we will have it live for you on KWYO and 87.7 FM broadcast time is at 6:30. they play at Idaho Saturday.

COWBOY BASKETBALL - The Cowboys lost 64-61 at Denver University yesterday, they host SMU Friday night we will have it live on 14-10 KWYO and 87.7 FM.
