Weekend Local Sports Wrap up

GENERALS / LADY GENERALS HOOPS - The Sheridan college Generals and Lady Generals swept all four games in the 45th annual Sheridan Lions club tournament at the Hoffman dome over the weekend.

The Lady Generals beat Rocky Mountain college 92-58 and beat Northwest college 66-64 they have won 5 of their last 6 games and stand at 6-4 overall.

The Generals beat two all-star teams 107-84 and 93-90 to run their winning steak to six straight and they are 9-3 overall.

Both teams play at Western Nebraska tomorrow and play at home this weekend against Dawson and Miles City Friday and Saturday.

COWBOY HOOPS - The Wyoming basketball Cowboys will play at the Air Force Academy Wednesday night

COWGIRL HOOPS - The Cowgirls home game with New Mexico Highlands was canceled Saturday they will play a home game against Air Force Wednesday.

HAWKS JUNIOR HOCKEY - The Sheridan Junior Hawks split road games in Bozeman, Montana losing 5-0 Friday and winning 7-2 Saturday. They go back out on the road this weekend for games in Helena, Montana.

December 15-17 all NAHL teams in the division will meet for a three game showcase in Blaine, Minnesota Hawks Head coach Andy Scheib says it’s an annual event for all the teams in the country to come together and play.

And the main focus of the showcase is for the players to show off their skills.

COWBOY FOOTBALL - The Wyoming football Cowboys finished up the regular season at 7-5 after losing 20-6 at the Air Force Academy Saturday here’s Head coach Craig Bohl. Now the Pokes play thew waiting game for a bowl game invitation.

BRONCO FOOTBALL - The Denver Broncos got a last second 53 yard field goal from Brandon Mcmanus to beat the LA Chargers 23-20.

BRONC FOOTBALL - The 2019 Sheridan Bronc football team will meet for the final time tomorrow night as the players, coaches and families get together to celebrate their state championship with their postseason awards banquet it will be held at the high school at 6:00.
