Weekend Local Sports Wrap up

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Broncs beat Laramie 55-7 to run their record to 7-1 on a cold and windy night in Laramie, Head coach Jeff Mowry said the players did a great job of blocking out the playing conditions.

They started great with a 6 minute drive that ended with a touchdown and Mowry says the long scoring drive is just what they wanted to see at the start.

The Broncs host Cheyenne East in the regular season finale Friday night a win means the two seed in the playoffs and home field games in the quarter and semifinals but they are playing a very good T-Bird club as well.

RAMS FOOTBALL - The Big Horn Rams beat Lusk 35-12 to remain unbeaten the rams play at Southeast Friday.

EAGLES FOOTBALL - The Tongue River Eagles beat the Sheridan JV's 29-7 the Eagles close out the season Friday night at home against at 6:00.

WOLVES FOOTBALL - The NSI Wolves lost 82-53 to Saratoga, the Wolves close out the season Friday afternoon at home with Kaycee.

COWBOY FOOTBALL - The Wyoming Cowboys beat New Mexico 23-10 to run their record to 5-2 overall, here's Head coach Craig Bohl. The Cowboy host Nevada Saturday at noon.

BRONCO FOOTBALL - The Denver Broncos will play on the road Sunday at Indianapolis kickoff is at 11:00.

X-COUNTRY - Sheridan high school hosted the cross country conference meet, it was a clean sweep for Sheridan high school with the Broncs and Lady Broncs winning their conference championships. They also ran JV races Friday and both Sheridan JV teams to top team finishes as well.

SWIMMING / DIVING - The Lady Bronc swimmers and divers hosted Cody and Buffalo Friday and split they beat Cody and dropped a close dual with Buffalo, Saturday they finished 6th in the Gillette invitational.

LADY BRONC VOLLEYBALL - The Lady Bronc volleyball team split road games winning at Cheyenne South and dropping their match at Laramie.

RAMS / EAGLES VOLLEYBALL - The Big Horn Lady Rams ended the weekend dropping a home match to Moorcroft and the Tongue River Lady Eagles lost at Riverside tomorrow.

SC VOLLEYBALL - The Sheridan college Lady Generals host matches this week with Central Wyoming and Western Wyoming matches are set for Friday night and Saturday afternoon.

SC SOCCER - The Sheridan college Generals and Lady Generals soccer teams ended the regular season at Gillette the Lady Generals lost 3-0 the Generals lost 4-3.

HAWKS HOCKEY - The Sheridan Junior Hawks won two on the road at Missoula, Montana winning 7-2 and 4-1, they've won four straight and play at Gillette Friday night then host the Wild Saturday night at 7:00.
