Weekend Local Sports Wrap up

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Broncs dropped a wild 37-30 game at Thunder Basin Friday Head coach Jeff Mowry says it was a heck of game and they just came up short.

And it will be nice to be at home for two straight games.

They host Casper Kelly Walsh Friday night at 7:00 and the following week Cheyenne South comes to town.

EAGLES FOOTBALL - The Tongue River Eagles were shutout at home 38-0 against Upton / Sundance.

RAMS FOOTBALL - The Big Horn Rams beat Wright 47-18 to run their record to 3-0.

WOLVES FOOTBALL - The NSI Wolves lost a close one at Midwest the Oilers scored in the final minute to win 38-32.

COWBOY FOOTBALL - The Wyoming Cowboys lost 24-21 at Tulsa the Pokes host UNLV Saturday night.

BRONCO FOOTBALL - The Denver Broncos lost 27-16 at Green Bay Sunday they host Jacksonville this week.

STATE GOLF - The Sheridan high school golfers ended their season at their state meet the Lady Broncs finished 2nd, Samantha Spielman finished 2nd overall and Libby Gardner was 6th.

The Broncs finished 5th led by Brayden James he tied for 8th.

TENNIS - The Bronc and Lady Bronc tennis teams competed at their conference tournament in Casper the Lady Broncs were 3rd the Broncs were 4th they play at the state tennis in Gillette matches start Thursday.

X-COUNTRY - The Sheridan high school country runners hosted the Michelle Ludwig invitational the Lady Broncs were 2nd led by Ella Kessner in 2nd place and Sylvia Brown was 8th.

The Broncs took the team title Austin Akers finished 3rd, David Standish was 6th, Alex Garber was 7th, Reese Charest was 8th and Tim Brown was 9th.

The Tongue River Eagles finished 4th Wyatt Ostler led the way finishing 10th.

SWIMMING / DIVING - The Lady Bronc swimmers and divers beat Campbell county in a dual and dropped two close duals to Buffalo and Thunder Basin they host the Sheridan invitational this week.

VOLLEYBALL - The Lady Bronc volleyball team dropped a conference match to Thunder Basin they came back with a nice road win at Campbell county Saturday winning 3-2.

JUNIOR HAWKS HOCKEY - The Sheridan junior Hawks hockey dropped both home games against Bozeman, Montana 3-2 and 5-2 were the finals.

ROCKIES BASEBALL - - The Colorado Rockies season is getting close to the end they closed out at series with the Dodgers Sunday. Jack Corrigan has the game wrap up..
