Weekend Local Sports Wrap up

TRACK AND FIELD - State track and field wrapped up Saturday with the Big Horn Rams winning the 2-A title the Sheridan Broncs had to settle for their 2nd straight runner up finish.

SOCCER - State soccer closed out the season Saturday with the Cody girls winning the 3-A title the Worland boys took the 3-A championship in the 4-A Thunder Basin won it in the girls bracket and Jackson took the
4-A boys title.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers had both weekend doubleheaders rained out this week they will play in the annual Memorial day weekend tournament in Gillette.

ROCKIES BASEBALL - The Colorado Rockies were swept in a weekend series in Philadelphia Jack Corrigan and Sunday'swrap up. You can hear tomorrow's game live on Fox Sports radio 87.7 FM.

2019 ALL-STAR HOOPS - The Wyoming / Montana high school all star basketball series will be played June 7th and 8th. there is a change to the schedule this year with the first night of games being played in Billings and Saturday night's games will be played in Sheridan in the Hoffman dome at Sheridan college.

The boys roster is set with Sheridan Bronc Tristan Bower making this year's team the boys team looks to be very solid.

On the girls side it's a total different picture as Sheridan college coach Ryan Davis is hoping to have the roster filled out this week, it has been a nightmare for Davis trying to get players to come and play and has been turned down by over a dozen players and he's very frustrated from what he is hearing from this Wyoming players.

On a more positive note his recruiting for the Lady Generals for the coming season has been going well this spring which includes a trio of Wyoming all-state players who are all from state championship winning teams.
