LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan Lady Broncs lost their first game of the year Saturday in Laramie a day after winning at Kelly Walsh.

The Laramie girls beat Gillette Friday night and took down the Lady Broncs 69-58 Saturday.

The Lady Broncs had a rough game filled with turnovers, missed shots and poor defense that added up to their first defeat of the season Head coach Derek Bissitt.

They fell behind by 13 in the third quarter but made a great run to get within three with three opportunities to tie the game but would get no closer as Laramie pulled away in the last two minutes of the game Bissitt says he was happy to see the Lady Broncs play hard to the end.

The Lady Broncs still lead the conference with Gillette second one game back and Laramie two games back.

They host Gillette Thursday night and Bissitt says it should be another great game between two really good teams.

BRONC BASKETBALL - The Broncs beat Kelly Walsh but lost to Laramie Saturday. They beat the Trojans 54-35 Friday and lost 46-43 Saturday and now stand at 15-5 on the season and are now tied with Laramie for second place in the conference with 5-2 records.

The Broncs play at Gillette Friday night at 7:30 we will broadcast the game live on AM 14-10 KWYO the tip is at 7:30.

BIG HORN / TONGUE RIVER BASKETBALL - The Tongue River and Big Horn basketball teams split games Friday. The Lady Eagles beat the Lady Rams 44-38 with the Rams winning the boys game 61-53.

Saturday the Lady Rams and Rams swept games with Greybull. The Lady Eagles won at Wright while the Eagles lost in overtime.

The Rams and Lady Rams close out the regular season with games against Sundance and Rocky Mountain this week.

The Eagles and Lady Eagles finish up this week with Greybull and Sundance. All four teams will play at their regional tournaments next week in Newcastle.

NSI BASKETBALL - The NSI Wolves lost against Midwest 60-42. The wolves have road games with week with Upton and Rock River to close out their regular season.

A/C BASKETBALL - The Arvada/Clearmont Lady Panthers lost at Kaycee 45-37 the boys had to forfeit. this week they are schedule to complete the regular season with games at home with Moorcroft and Hulett.

SC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college Generals and Lady Generals swept games at Dawson community college yesterday. They play the next three games on the road at Gillette and Casper this weekend and next Tuesday at Northwest college.

UW BASKETBALL - The Wyoming Cowboys beat TCU Saturday, the Cowgirls lost at TCU this week they each have one game the Pokes play at Utah Wednesday while the Cowgirls host the Utes.

BRONC WRESTLING - The Sheridan Bronc wrestlers will be in Cheyenne this weekend for the East regional tournament that will seed the wrestlers for the state championships that get underway in Casper February 25th.

SWIMMING / DIVING - The Bronc swimmers and divers took 4th at their regional meet in Casper this past week. They have this week off and will head to the Wyoming state swimming and diving championships in Gillette which get started Thursday, February 24th.

INDOOR TRACK - The Sheridan high school indoor track and field teams had last weekend off. this week all qualifiers will head to compete in the Simplot games in Pocatello, Idaho. events get underway Thursday night.

SHERIDAN HAWKS HOCKEY - The Sheridan Hawks hockey team dropped two home games over the weekend. they lost 9-3 against Pinedale Saturday night. Pinedale also won yesterday's game by the score of 4-3.

Next up for the Hawks is their state tournament in Casper March 4th, 5th and 6th.
