LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Lady Broncs whipped the Cheyenne schools to improve their record to 17-0 and 5-0 in conference play. they beat East 69-47 and Central fell Saturday 74-46.

The Lady Broncs now head out on the road for games at Kelly Walsh and Laramie.

BRONC BASKETBALL - The Broncs picked up to big road wins coming from behind to beat Cheyenne East and blowing out Cheyenne Central.

The Broncs trailed at East all night Friday until the final minute, Senior point guard Raith Durham hit three big three pointers in the 4th quarter including the tying basket with 50: seconds to play.

Junior Riley Ryan then converted a steal into a layup to give the Broncs the lead with 12: seconds to play and they went onto win 46-42 Durham says they started slow but got it done.

Saturday they came out fast against Central leading 22-2 at the end of the first quarter and kept extending the lead and winning 69-36.

Durham says they hit some big shots early and that got them going. And with the victories they stand at 4-1 in conference play the four out of the next five coming at home to end the regular season.

They are now 13-4 overall and tied for the conference lead with Gillette and Laramie head coach Mike Ibach says picking up both wins in Cheyenne has put them in a great spot with three weeks left until the regional tournament.

RAMS / LADY RAMS BASKETBALL - The Big Horn Rams and Lady Rams both picked up wins on the road at Moorcroft Friday.

The Lady Rams are now 18-1 overall after winning 69-23. The Rams are 18-0 after beating the Wolves 68-41.

EAGLES / LADY EAGLES BASKETBALL - The Tongue River Eagles and Lady Eagles won at Sundance on Friday by scores of 64-35 and 65-52.

They dropped games against Rocky Mountain Saturday the Lady Eagles lost at Rocky 52-43 while the Eagles lost at home 66-52.

GENERALS / LADY GENERALS BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college Generals and Lady Generals swept north sub region games from Little Big Horn community college Saturday.

They play at Miles City Wednesday and Dawson CC this weekend.

BRONC WRESTLING - The Sheridan Bronc wrestlers were at the "Ron Thon" invitational tournament in Riverton they finished tied for 10th with Rock Springs.

Three Broncs placed Trevor Goss was 2nd at 140, Lucas Giesey was 4th at 160 and Clay Carter was 6th at 130.

They close out the regular season Thursday night with a dual at Gillette then it's on to the 4-A East Regional in Cheyenne next weekend and the state championships in Casper starting Friday, February 25th

SWIMMING / DIVING - The Sheridan Bronc swimmers and divers swept duals with Cody and Riverton winning by scores of 96-80 and 99-81. Good news from the duals as Bryce Sisko made the state qualifying standards in diving.

The Broncs will be at their conference meet in Casper this week followed by a week off before the state championships in Gillette.

INDOOR TRACK AND FIELD - Half of the the Sheridan high school track team made it to Chadron, Nebraska for the winter classic indoor meet.

The athletes that left Friday made the trip but weather and road conditions forced those leaving Saturday to turn around and come back to Sheridan.

top finishers for the lady broncs included hunter vineyard winning the high jump for the third consecutive meet, Hartley Stewart won the 400 meters.

Katie Rottellini was second in both the 800 meters and triple jump. Mikayla Will was 2nd in the long jump and 3rd in the triple jump.

For the Broncs Aaron Campbell was 2nd in the 55 meters hurdles and 2nd in the high jump, Aspen Frey was 3rd in the high jump, and Cal Botten finished 3rd in the shot put.

HAWKS HOCKEY - The Sheridan Hawks hockey team swept road games in Riverton over the weekend. The Hawks beat the River Rats 6-3 Saturday night yesterday they swept the weekend winning 9-1.

This weekend the Hawks host games with Pinedale they play at 5:00 Saturday night and Sunday morning at 9:45.
