Wednesday Night WYO Results / SHS Booster Club Golf Fundraiser is Sunday / Troopers Host Alumni Game Saturday

WYO RODEO - The Sheridan WYO rodeo got off to a great start Wednesday night with some big scores in the rough stock events and the timed events.

Taking a look at last night's opening performance in the Bareback riding the leader is Ty Breuer from Mandan, North Dakota with a score of 88 in the Bronc riding Taos Muncy from Carona, New Mexico leads with a score of 85.5 and in the Bull riding Guthrie Murray from Miami, Oklahoma leads with a score of 87.5.

In the timed events last night K C Jones from Decatur, Texas won the Steer wrestling with a time of 5.7 seconds.

JD Kibbe from Portales, New Mexico took the Tie Down roping with a time of 9.1 seconds.

Reo Loshe from Kaycee took the Steer roping with a time of 11.0 seconds.

Logan Olson and Matt Kasner took the Team roping with time of 5.4 seconds and in the Barrel race Taci Bettis from Round Top, Texas won with a time of 17.21.

Slack timed events continue today at the fairgrounds and the 2nd performance starts tonight at 7:00.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers host the annual Trooper alumni game Saturday at noon, their next home date is Monday night when they host a Doubleheader with the Billings Royals we will broadcast game one of the Doubleheader live on KWYO and 106.9 FM the first pitch will be tossed out at 5:00.

BRONC YOUTH FOOTBALL CAMP - The 11th annual Sheridan Bronc football summer mini-camp will run next week Monday through Wednesday the camp for the young Broncs up through 8th grade from 5-6 pm the cost is $15 and includes a tee shirt here's Bronc Head coach Don Julian.

Registration for the young kids is at Homer Scott stadium starting at 4:30 Monday, players will need proof of insurance at registration.

SHS BOOSTER GOLF - The entry deadline to enter teams for the Sheridan high school booster club golf tournament is tomorrow and Julian says they have a great time hosting the event and players will really enjoy themselves.

It's a four person team scramble shot gun start is Sunday at 1:00 contact the Powder Horn to register your teams.

FALL SPORTS SEASON - The 2017-18 high school sports season isn't too far off with bronc football team opening fall camp the first Monday in August the rest of the fall sports will open August 14th with the first weekend of competition is Friday and Saturday August 25th and 26th.
