Bison Have Two Named To All-State Basketball Team has released the names of the 3A and 4A Boys' and Girls' All-State selections for 2011-12, and two Buffalo High School players were recognized.
Aaron Fenner and Kalob Rodriguez were both named to the 3A Boys' All-State Team.
Votes compiled from the Wyoming Coaches' Association determined the selections.

BRONC / LADY BRONC SOCCER - The Bronc and Lady Bronc soccer teams open their season playing matches with Riverton Friday evening.

The Lady Broncs will host Riverton the Broncs will play at Riverton, Saturday both teams will participate in a Jamboree in Cody.

Lady Broncs Head coach Tom Racette says week one went well and now it's game week.

Buffalo Athletes Named To All-Conference Teams released the list of those named to the 3A and 4A All-conference teams and a few Buffalo kids were recognized.
Named to the Boys' 3A East All-Conference Team from Buffalo was Aaron Fenner and Kalob Rodriguez.
Jenna Anderson of Buffalo was named to the Girls' 3A East All-Conference Team.
The teams were compiled by Wyopreps from votes by the Wyoming Coaches' Association.

BHS and Kaycee Spring Sports Begin Competition This Week

This week the Buffalo High School spring sports season gets in full swing with a short practice week before competitions in just a couple of days.
The Bison boys' and girls' soccer teams will begin their 2012 campaigns on Friday as the boys host Gillette at BHS and the girls travel to Gillette to take on the Lady Camels. Game times are at 11 and 1 for both the boys and girls.
The Bison track team will also get their 2012 season started this week at the Natrona Earlybird Meet at Natrona County High School Saturday at 10am.


The Sheridan Lady Bronc had three players make the East all-conference team they are Seniors Steph Sessions and Noelle Golinvaux and Junior Hailey Ligocki.

Bronc's named to the boys team were Seniors Riley Ryan and Hunter Reece.

Ryan was also named the conference player of the year and Bronc's Head coach Mike Ibach was honored as the conference coach of the year.

BRONC / LADY BRONC TRACK AND FIELD - The Sheridan high school track teams open their season Saturday at the Natrona County "Earlybird invitational.

As they get ready to compete this week the weather has cooperated and the weather looks pretty good for Saturday in Casper.

Head coach Art Bauers says the Sheridan athletes have enjoyed the preparation this week and they are getting more athletes out this week following the winter sports season.


BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Lady Broncs finished their basketball season with a victory Saturday in the consolation final at the state tournament.

They blew out Cheyenne East 48-26 Junior Hailey Ligocki ended the season nearly out scoring East herself leading the Lady Broncs with a game high 23 points.

The Broncs had a roller coaster week in Casper starting with a one point win over Kelly Walsh then a one point loss against Evanston in the semi finals Friday night.

Bison Boys Lose At State, Focus Now On Soccer And Track

Buffalo's boys' basketball team made a quick exit at State last week, losing two straight games and departing the tournament.
They dropped their first game 67-49 to Star Valley and then lost to Lander in their consolation bracket game 60-49.
Torrington eventually captured the 3A Title by downing Star Valley 48-39.
Wheatland took third and Powell as the Consolation Champion of the tournament.
The Spring sports seasons are now underway, at least practice is underway, but both the Bison and Lady Bison soccer teams will have their first games later this week.
