Two Sheridan county runners make all-state in X-Country / High school football playoffs open Friday / Pokes fall at CSU / SC Hoops open Friday

STATE CROSS COUNTRY - The all class state cross country championships event was a huge success Saturday. The Broncs were 7th the Lady Broncs 10th.

The Tongue River Eagles finished 7th in 2-a and Tongue River Lady Eagles runner Courtney Jolovish made 2-A all state with an 8th place finish.

Sheridan high school Head coach Art Bauers says the day was perfect to run and the course was very fast.

And he says the Broncs had a good day with the 7th place finish.

Taylor Bruso led the Broncs with an 8th place finish and had to make a late charge in the home stretch to make it happen.

The Lady Broncs had a tough day finishing 10th but Bauers says it's a young squad and the learning continues.

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs whipped Cheyenne South 52-13 to end the regular season at 7-2 after the game Head coach Don Julian.

The Broncs lost the coin toss with Cheyenne East and Gillette which broke a three way tie for second place.

The Broncs finish fourth and will host Cheyenne Central Friday night in the first round of the playoffs the game is scheduled to start at 6:00.

EAGLES FOOTBALL - The Tongue River Eagles blew out Pine Bluffs 53-22 they are headed to the playoffs Sheridan media's Ron Richter has the wrap up.

RAMS FOOTBALL - The Big Horn rams held off Wheatland 19-6 and head into the playoffs as the number one seed in the east they will host Lovell Friday night at 6:00 in the first round.

COWBOY FOOTBALL - The Wyoming Cowboys lost 45-31 at Colorado state Saturday night. next up a road trip to Fresno state Saturday night broadcast time will be at 7:30.

REGIONAL VOLLEYBALL - High school regional volleyball tournaments start Friday the 4-A East will be in Sheridan and the 2-A east will be in Torrington.

SC HOOPS - The Sheridan college basketball teams open their season this week hosting a tournament at the Hoffman dome Friday and Saturday.
