STATE HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL - For the first time, the Wyoming High School Activities Association held all five State Football Championship games at one site.
War Memorial Stadium hosted the five title games, and even though a snow storm hit Friday, Association Commissioner Ron Laird says most, if not all, the feedback they received was positive. He says from the UW training staff to the Jumbo-tron, the university did a great job of hosting the games.

In the coming weeks, a decision will be made if they will continue holding the games in Laramie. Laird says he doesn't have to be convinced.

We asked him about the other side, that likes having the Championship games at host cities instead. So it looks like the future of the high school football championships in Wyoming has found a permanent home.

2010 HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL SCHEDULES - The Wyoming High School Activities Association has released the football schedules for 2010.

The Broncs will play five home and four road games next year. Road games will be at Casper Kelly Walsh, Green River, Laramie and Cheyenne Central. The home dates will have Cheyenne East, Rock Springs, Gillette, Evanston and Natrona County.

The schedules for Big Horn and Tongue River include the same teams they played in 2009, with the Rams playing at Tongue River in Week 7.

All-State Football teams are expected to be announced this week.

GENERALS BASKETBALL - The Sheridan College Generals are 3-0 and play two games this weekend at a tournament at Northwest College in Powell. They play Eastern Utah Friday and Western Montana Saturday. They return home for two games during the annual Lions Club Thanksgiving tournament on the 27th and 28th.

LADY GENERALS BASKETBALL - The Lady Generals will be the host team for the State Farm Classic at the Hoffman Dome Friday and Saturday. They will play Friday night at 7 o'clock against Oglala Lakota College and Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock against Rocky Mountain College.

The Lady Generals will join the Generals in the Lions Club tournament as well. They'll play Little Big Horn Community College and Western Wyoming.

UW BASKETBALL - The Wyoming basketball Cowboys will play tomorrow night. The Pokes need a good performance since losing the season opener at home last Friday to South Dakota State. They host Peru State from Nebraska tomorrow night. We will broadcast the game for you live on AM 1410 KWYO; broadcast time is 6:30.

UW FOOTBALL - The Wyoming football Cowboys will look to play the spoiler roll Saturday when they host 5th-ranked and unbeaten TCU. You can hear the game on AM 1410 KWYO; the broadcast opens at 11:00 with kick-off at noon.

CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING - The Black Mountain Nordic Club will host their annual fall meeting tomorrow night starting at 5:30 in the Inner Circle at the Fulmer Public Library. They will be electing new board members, and representatives from the Forest Service are also expected to attend.

Some trail grooming has already taken place. Last week there was a 12' base at the Sibley Trails; the club reports they need another foot of snow to get good coverage over rocks and logs.
