TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers have won 19 straight games and stand at 32-4 heading into a double header today in Casper.

There is no doubt the success the Troops have had this season has been amazing but Head coach Ben Phillips says it's not all about having a great winning

And he says in the long run there are only four games that really count and those will be at the state tournament in Casper in early August.

The Troopers play games with Jackson and a team from Colorado Springs today those games are being played in Casper.

Then it's a road trip next week to play in the annual Black Hills classic tournament in Rapid City.

The Troopers only have two more home dates on the schedule they host two with Spearfish, South Dakota on July 11th that will be our next live radio broadcast they also have two with Riverton July 22nd.

They open their district tournament in Powell July 26th and the state tournament in Casper August 1st.

FREEDOM FEST - The Sheridan Recreation District is once again hosting the Freedom Fest celebration at the old Woodland Park school on the 4th of July.

It's a great start to a full day of celebration before heading out to the fireworks display at the Big Horn Equestrian center and all activities are free.

Freedom Fest will run from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm there will be refreshments and lots of games and activities for the kids and adults and this year they are going to feature a mud volleyball tournament.

The mud volleyball tournament is co-ed and they are currently taking registration at the Rec District office in Thorne-Rider park.

Again freedom fest will be from 10:00 to 2:00 next Wednesday the 4th of July at the old Woodland Park school.

ROCKIES BASEBALL -The Colorado Rockies beat the Washington Nationals 11-10 in 11 innings Thursday night.
