Troopers win Regular Season Finale / AA State Baseball Opens Friday / Rox and Nats Rained out

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers closed out the regular season with a 15-2 victory over the Cheyenne Hawks Monday night. The Troopers open their state tournament Friday in Gillette they open with Evanston at 10:00 am. Other first round games Friday have Jackson taking on Laramie, Casper meets up with Cody and Gillette will play Rock Springs.

The state title game is scheduled for Tuesday afternoon.

ROCKIES BASEBALL - The Colorado Rockies and Washington Nationals got rained out last night they will play tonight first pitch is at 5:05 you can hear the game live on Fox Sports radio 87.7 FM.

GOLF - Kendrick golf course will host the annual club championship Saturday and Sunday all players must have a USGA handicap the entry fee is 50 dollars per player to register stop by the golf shop at Kendrick golf course.

FALL SPORTS - We are 21 days away from opening of practice for fall high school sports which will have the Sheridan Bronc football team plus volleyball and golfers starting their seasons.

The Bronc football team will open the season at home August 30th against Rock Springs, Head coach Jeff Mowry says summer is slipping away the season is about to begin.

And another reminder today all high school and junior high fall sports athletes must have sports physicals completed before they will be allowed to practice with their teams.

SRD - The Sheridan Recreation District will begin the wrap up of some of their summer programs next week which will include the adult softball leagues season ending tournaments, the district is already setting their sights on the upcoming school year with little guy football another leagues starting next month.
