TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers are 31-6 as they continue play today at a tournament in Rapid City.

The Troops lost two in Casper last Friday against Jackson and a team from Colorado Springs they came back yesterday late and ended the two game losing streak with a come from behind win against Vermillion, South Dakota.

The Troops had their 19 game winning streak snapped in Casper Friday Head coach Ben Phillips says they just couldn't get the big hit in both losses in Casper.

Yesterday they in Rapid City they won the bottom of the 7th inning trailing 6-5 against Vermillion they got the big hit.

And he says it was nice to get the win yesterday after losing two Friday.

Today they play two more in Rapid against Canyon City, Colorado and the host team Post #320.

The Troopers only have two more home dates on the schedule they host two with Spearfish on July 11th that will be our next live radio broadcast as well then they'll have two with Riverton July 22nd.

They open their District tournament in Powell July 26th and the state tournament in Casper August 1st.

FREEDOM FEST - The Sheridan Recreation District is once again hosting the Freedom Fest celebration at the old Woodland Park school on the 4th of July.

Freedom Fest will run from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm there will be refreshments and lots of games and activities for the kids and adults and this year they are going to feature a mud volleyball tournament.

The mud volleyball tournament is co-ed and they are currently taking registration at the Rec District office in Thorne-Rider park.

Again freedom fest will be from 10:00 to 2:00 Wednesday at the old Woodland Park school.

ROCKIES - The Colorado Rockies were shut out 2-0 by San Diego Sunday at Coors field. tonight they open a four game road series at St. Louis you can hear the game live on 87.7 FM broadcast time is at 5:30.

Rockies left fielder Carlos Gonzalez found out Sunday he will be the Rockies lone representative in the 2012 All-Star game in Kansas City on Tuesday July 11th. "Cargo" will also compete in the home run derby for the national league.
