Troopers Take two From Casper / WYO 2019 is Underway / Rockies Host Reds Friday Night

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers are ten games over .500 as they swept a doubleheader against Casper Wednesday night.

The Troops have won 10 straight and will look to extend the streak Sunday when they host the Cody Cubs.

They took the first game 3-1 and the nightcap 5-3 and got very good pitching from starters Quinn Mcafferty and Aiden Roush, Carter Dubberley got the save in both games Head coach Ben Phillips said all three were tough last night.

The Troops have been on a scoring binge lately but they had to scratch out just about every run last night as they did get some timely hits with some help from Casper errors.

And Phillips says they have been on a nice little run in the last couple of weeks and they continue to get better.

They host Cody Sunday afternoon at 1:00 and Phillips says they expect a tough battle with the Cubs.

The annual Trooper alumni game will be played Saturday and start at noon at Thorne-Rider stadium.
