TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers swept a double header from Laramie Monday night.

The Troopers won the first game 6-3, Kyle Atkinson threw a compete game four hitter at the Rangers, Troops Head coach Ben Phillips says it was just the performance they needed.

The Troopers led 2-0 but a couple errors in the 5th inning got Laramie a 3-2 lead but in the bottom of the 5th with two outs Connor Mcafferty saved the day wit a big solo home run to tie the game and take the pressure off Atkinson.

They led 4-3 going into their final at bat Drew Adrieans who was struggling at the plate came up and delivered a big two run double off the wall in center field to give them some insurance runs.

The Troops took the 2nd game 11-1 blowing it open with a seven run 5th inning.

That finished off seven games in five days and now they have a week off before they play again and Phillips says the Troopers need the rest.

They head to Laramie for games ,Monday before going to Cheyenne a week from tonight and then come home for their final home game on the 24th against the Casper Oilers.

BRONC YOUTH FOOTBALL CAMP - The Sheridan Bronc football coaching staff will be holding their Bronc youth and player camp this week tomorrow through Friday for the young Broncs K-8th grade.

The high school camp will run into Saturday when several regional high school teams will come in for a day of seven on seven scrimmages at Homer Scott stadium.

The kids camp will run from 5:00 to 6:00 each evening registration is ten dollars and they will take registration at the stadium starting at 4:30 Wednesday before the first session begins.

The high school players go after the youth session from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.

MLB/ ROCKIES - It's the all star break for Major League baseball the Colorado Rockies resume the season Friday hosting the Chicago Cubs we will have the game live on 87.7 FM ESPN radio. Rockies on deck starts at 6:00 with the first pitch at 6:40.
