Troopers split two with Cody / Broncs do well at football camp / Wyo all-star hoop scrimmages tonight

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers hosted a double header with Cody last night, the teams split the games with the Troopers taking the opener 7-6 and Cody winning the second game 5-2.

Head coach Ben Phillips used most of his pitching staff in the games last night to save their arms for a tournament they start tomorrow in Omaha and for the most part they all pitched pretty well.

And Phillips says playing the tournament in Omaha during the college world series is a great experience for the players.

Next home dates for the Troopers will be next Friday June 20th against Cheyenne

ALL-STAR HOOPS - The Wyoming / Montana high school all star basketball series is this week the first two games will be played at the Hoffman dome Friday times will be at 5:30 and 7:30. They play in Billings the Saturday night also at 5:30 and 7:30 we will broadcast all four games on KWYO.

The Wyoming all-star teams will scrimmage tonight at 6:00 and 7:00 both scrimmages are open to the public.

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Bronc football team complete their first off season camp this past week, Head coach Don Julian says they had an outstanding turnout for the camp and for the most part it went very well.

The Broncs open fall camp Monday, August 11th the season opener will be at home against Laramie on August 29th.

SHRINE BOWL FOOTBALL - The 2014 Wyoming shrine bowl football game will be played Saturday night in casper.

Four Sheridan county players will represent the north squad this year they are Colter Carzoli from Big Horn and three Sheridan Broncs Nick Gill, Justin Orum and Daniel Sessions.

ROCKIES BASEBALL - The Colorado Rockies lost 13-10 against Atlanta last night, they play again tonight you can hear the game live on 87.7 FM ESPN radio, first pitch is at 6:40.
