Troopers / Rockies Post Victories / 2017 Big Horn Mtn. Trail run Begins Today

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers are 24-11 overall and have won 7 of their last 9 games including a victory in their opening game at a tournament in Omaha, Nebraska.

The Troops beat Denver. Front Range 8-4 Thursday they continue play today against Elkhorn, Nebraska.

Tomorrow they play Smoky Hill from Aurora, Colorado and close out the tournament against Creighton Prep Sunday.

The Troopers return to action at Thorne-Rider stadium Tuesday with a doubleheader against Riverton

WILD AND SCENIC TRAIL RUN - The Big Horn Mountain Wild and Scenic trail runs starts today with the 100 mile runners getting their start at 10:00 this morning.

Tomorrow the 50 mile race will start at 5:00 am the 32 mile race starts at 8:00 am and 18 mile race will start at 10:00.

Awards will be presented to all the finishers Saturday evening in Scott Bicentennial park starting at 4:00 with the 18 mile race, the 32 mile awards will be at 5:00 the 100 mile awards start at 6:00 and the 52 mile awards at 7:00.

HIGH SCHOOL RODEO - Five Sheridan county high school rodeo competitors will compete in the National High School Finals in Gillette starting July 17th.

The contestants representing Sheridan county will be McKenna Balkenbush, Wheaton Williams, Ellie Bard, Shyanna Cahoy, DeLani Cunningham and Blaine Miranda.
