Troopers open state tourney tonight / Broncos upbeat in training camp / Rockies fall in 16 innings

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers open the state "AA" American Legion baseball tournament in Gillette tonight they play Jackson at 7:00.

Troopers Head coach Ben Phillips says the Troopers have to be patient at the plate.

The Troops played Jackson once this season winning that game at home, Phillips says the Giants have a good club and Troops will have to play well.

And finally he says there are two favorites heading into the tournament one being the host team the other is from Post 6.

The winner plays top seed Gillette Thursday, the loser plays Friday against the loser of Thursday's match up between Cheyenne and Casper.

SHERIDAN STORM SOCCER - The Sheridan county soccer association finishes up youth soccer registration for fall traveling soccer this week.
