Troopers at home tonight / Sheridan Rec district softball / Hoop Jam opens Saturday

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers get back into action tonight at Thorne-Rider stadium. They host a double header with Powell the first game will start at 5:00 and we will have game one live for you on 14-10 KWYO.

ADULT SOFTBALL - Sheridan Rec district adult softball league play is underway the season will wrap up in mid August.

The first week of play came to a close last night, Rec district league coordinator Robbie Spencer comments on the end of week one.

The first thing players and spectators notice at the softball complex this year are several changes Spencer was able to make this spring.

Spencer says more teams in the leagues this year and the support they receive from sponsors made the improvements possible.

The season will culminate in August with the city tournament at Thorne-Rider stadium.

2014 HOOP JAM - The annual Sheridan Hoop Jam 3 on 3 basketball tournament takes place tomorrow and Sunday hundreds of participants and players will be in town for the event.

YOUTH HOOPS CAMP - The Sheridan college Generals youth basketball camp will run from 8 to noon Monday through Thursday and is open to all boys K-10th grade. For more information you can go to the SC athletic web site

ALL-STAR BASKETBALL - The Wyoming / Montana high school all star basketball series is a week away. The first two games will be played at the Hoffman dome a week from today game times will be at 5:30 and 7:30.

There are three Sheridan county players representing Wyoming this year from Sheridan high school Maddy McClure and Reed Ritterbucsh and Sarah Rawlings from Tongue River.

All four games will be broadcast live on 14-10 KWYO.

ROCKIES BASEBALL - The Colorado Rockies lost 12-7 last night against Arizona.

Tonight they open a series with the LA Dodgers we will have the game live for you on 87.7 FM ESPN radio, first pitch is at 6:40.
