SHERIDAN TROOPERS BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers will play a road double header in Powell today they are 9-4 overall head coach Ben Phillips says they have mixed results.

They will play two in Powell tonight after losing two in Rapid City Sunday and Phillips says it gives them a chance at a little redemption after two straight losses.

The Troops have a busy week with six games this week and Trooper camp opening tomorrow morning.

And with six games this week Phillips talks about setting the pitching rotation through Sunday's double header with Gillette.

Then they will host two with Torrington Friday night and then two the Gillette Roughriders Sunday which are conference games at 1:00 and 3:00 we will be broadcasting game one live on AM 14-10 KWYO.

MILWARD SIMPSON NOMINEES - Sheridan's Kayla Woodward and Big Horn's Colby Wollenman have been named as finalists for the 2011 Milward Simpson awards both will be playing the the annual Wyoming / Montana All-star basketball series this weekend.

Last spring former Sheridan high school student and current Wyoming football player Austin Woodward was named the boys Simpson award winner.

WYOMING / MONTANA ALL-STAR BASKETBALL SERIES - The Wyoming / Montana high school all-star basketball series will be played Friday night in Sheridan and Saturday night in Billings.

Kayla Woodward and teammate Brianna Smith will play for the Wyoming girls and for the boys Colby Wollenman will be joined by Sheridan Bronc Raith Durham.

Two players from Buffalo also made the teams this year Dallas Shaw will play for the girls and Aaron Tyser with the boys.

LADY GENERALS VOLLEYBALL - Sheridan college needs a volleyball coach after Jonea Rima resigned last week, Sheridan college Men's basketball coach and Athletic Director Steve Smiley says the search is on to find a replacement.
