LADY EAGLES BASKETBALL - The Tongue River Lady Eagles beat Kemmerer 55-54 in overtime to win their second straight state 2-A basketball title Saturday in Casper.

They trailed most of the second half but stayed close and in the final :30 seconds tied the game to force overtime, Amanda Buller made a free throw Sarah Rawlings then stole the ball after the missed attempt at scored to tie the game at 52-52.

Rawlings led the Lady Eagles with 27 points scoring three in overtime to seal the win she says they were able to stay calm in the second half even though they were playing from behind.

And once they got it into the overtime period they new they had a great chance to win it.

In the aftermath of the title run we talked with Head coach Diane Moser.

And Moser says the great leadership on the court was the key to coming from behind.

And she says 2014-15 will probably be her final season with the Lady Eagles program.

RAMS BASKETBALL - The Big Horn Rams lost in the first round to Rocky Mountain and were eliminated from the tournament Friday by Big Piney

LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - - The Sheridan Lady Broncs will have a two seed when they open the 4-A state tournament Thursday.

They lost in the regional final to Gillette and will face Riverton in the first game of the tournament at 9:00 Thursday morning we will have the game for you live on 87.7 FM.

SPRING SPORTS - The spring outdoor track season and high school soccer season begin with the first day of practice today.

AMERICAN LEGION BASEBALL - Sheridan American Legion baseball will hold their preseason player / parent meeting March 19th at 6:00 pm in the Sheridan high school cafeteria. All Troopers / Jets players and their parents are asked to attend.

COWGIRL BASKETBALL - The Wyoming Cowgirls will open their Mountain West conference tournament tomorrow against Boise state you can hear the game live on KWYO and 87.7 FM broadcast time is at 3:00.
