Weekend Local Sports Wrap up

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan high school basketball teams split games at Natrona county the Broncs got 26 points from Parker Christensen and 22 from Tristan Bower in the 82-65 victory.

The Lady Broncs lost 47-35 both teams will play home games Friday night with Cheyenne Central at 5:30 and 7:00 Saturday they have Cheyenne East in town for games at 11:30 and 1:00.

BH BASKETBALL - The Big Horn Rams and Lady Rams split games at Wright with the Rams winning both teams lost against Rocky Mountain Saturday.

SHS Hoops at NC Tonight / TR and BH Hoops on the Road / Pokes at Boise Saturday

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL -The Sheridan high school basketball teams are on the road for more conference action at Natrona county tonight.

The girls games is scheduled to tip off at 6:00 the boys go at 7:30 we will broadcast both games live for you on KWYO and 106.9 FM.

The Broncs take the number one 4-A ranking and an 11-1 record into tonight's game with the Mustangs, Head coach Jeff Martini says this week it was back to the basics in their game preparation.

Local Elks Hoop Shoot Winners Advance

At the Elks Northeast District Hoop Shoot held Saturday, Jan. 19 in Casper, the six kids representing the Sheridan Elks Lodge brought home 4 first place finishes and 2 in second place. -

For the girls, Ava Taylor won the 8-9 age division, Ella Bilyeu won the 10-11 division, and Merritt Nichols was 2nd in the 12-13 division.

For the boys, Jacob Laird was 1st in the 8-9 group, Zane Huber was 1st in the 12-13 group, and Fischer Peldo was 2nd in the 10-11 group.

The four first place finishers now advance to the State Hoop Shoot in Casper in February.

Generals / Lady Generals Sweep Gillette / Cowboys and Cowgirls Post Victories / Bronc / Lady Bronc Hoops at NC Tomorrow

SC HOOPS - The Sheridan college Generals and Lady Generals swept games with Gillette college last night the Lady Generals took their game 76-66 the 10th ranked Generals blasted the Pronghorns 104-78 both teams have road games at Central Wyoming in Riverton Saturday.

COWBOY HOOPS - The Wyoming Cowboys beat San Jose state 59-46 last night next up for the Pokes is a road game at Boise state Saturday afternoon.

COWGIRL HOOPS - The Cowgirls made it a sweep winning 70-56 at San Jose state last night they play a home game with Boise state Saturday.

Bronc Swimmers / Divers Compete at Home Friday / SC Hoops v Gillette Tonight / Wyoming Cowboys v San Jose Tonight

BRONC SWIMMING / DIVING - The Bronc swimmers and divers host a dual with Casper Kelly Walsh Friday and compete at a big invitational in Gillette Saturday.

Head coach Brent Moore says it's late January and the season is starting to get real for the Broncs as their postseason races start next week.

GENERALS / LADY GENERALS BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college Generals and Lady Generals host games with Gillette tomorrow night game times in the Hoffman dome are set for 5:30 and 7:30.

COWBOY BASKETBALL - The Wyoming Cowboys play at home tomorrow night against San Jose state the pregame show starts at 6:30 with the tip at 7:00 on KWYO and 106.9 FM. They will be on the road at Boise Saturday afternoon.

COWGIRL BASKETBALL - The Cowgirls start the week on the road at San Jose state tomorrow then a home game with Boise state Saturday.

BRONC / LADY BRONC HOOPS - The Sheridan high school basketball teams opened conference play with the Gillette schools the Broncs beat Thunder Basin Friday night 66-53 and Campbell county 59-39 Saturday to run their record to 11-1 and 2-0 in league play, after a tough first half they got rolling on Campbell county in the 2nd half here's Head coach Jeff Martini.
