Sheridan College Generals Hoops Coach Leaving for another job

Sherdian college Generals basketball coach Matt Hammer will leave Sheridan to become the next Head coach at Colorado State University-Pueblo.

This past season was Hammer's best at SC leading the Generals to a bid into the NJCAA national tournament.

Hammer came to Sheridan college as an assistant coach in 2014 and took the Head coaching position when Head Coach Steve Smiley left to taske a job at Weber State in Utah.

Border War Track Meet Today at SHS / Rockies Beat the Padres / Bronc / Lady Bronc Soccer v NC Thursday

TRACK AND FIELD - Sheridan high school hosts the annual Gary Benson Border War track meet today nine teams will compete along with the Broncs and Lady Broncs Campbell county and Thunder Basin from Gillette both Casper schools and Cody will battle with Billings West, Billings Senior and Billings Skyview.

Here's Sheridan high school Activities Director Don Julian.They have moved the start time of the meet up today with events now starting at 11:00.

Bronc / Lady Bronc Soccer Sweeps Laramie and South / Rockies end Eight Game Losing Streak / Gary Benson Track Meet Tuesday at SHS

BRONC / LADY BRONC SOCCER - The Bronc and Lady Bronc soccer team s both picked up two needed victories over the weekend the Lady Broncs beat Laramie 3-1 and Cheyenne South 2-0 and moved into 5th place in the conference standings.

The Broncs shut out Laramie 3-0 and beat Cheyenne South 2-1 to move into 4th place in the league standings. This week each team plays once that will be Thursday the Broncs play at Natrona county the Lady Broncs will host the Fillies matches will be played at 4:00 and 6:00 pm.

"Dan Hansen" Track Invite Opens Saturday at 10:00 / Bronc Soccer v Laramie Tonight / Rockies at Giants Tonight

GOLF - Buffalo high school is scheduled to host this week's high school golf the event will be held today.

SOCCER - The Lady Bronc soccer team is on the road they play at Laramie this evening and at Cheyenne South tomorrow.

The Broncs will play at home tonight against Laramie at 4:00 and 6:00 at Homer Scott stadium.

They play Cheyenne South tomorrow game time has been changed to now start at noon (varsity only) that game will be played out at Big Horn high school.

TENNIS - The Bronc and Lady Bronc tennis teams will play their next matches in Casper tomorrow.

Bronc Soccer Player Receives Recognition

MaxPreps and the United Soccer Coaches would like to congratulate Sheridan Bronc Toby Jacobs selected as the MaxPreps/United Soccer Coaches Wyoming Player of the Week for the week ending April 7, 2019.

Each week, MaxPreps and the United Soccer Coaches team up to select athletes who have had recent outstanding performances. Just by simply putting your athletes' stats into MaxPreps qualifies them to be selected for this award.

SHS Hosts the "Dan Hansen" Track Invitational Saturday / Bronc Soccer Home with Laramie and Cheyenne South / Rockies at San Fran

TRACK AND FIELD - The spring sports schedule is still a go as the snow storm leaves our region Sheridan high school has two big track and field events coming up they will host the annual "Dan Hansen" invitational Saturday and the "Gary Benson Border War" meet with the Billings schools on Tuesday.

Sheridan high school Activities Director Don Julian says these are two great events for our local athletes and fans to enjoy.
