High School Sports Wrap For Jo Co for February 17th

Another weekend of high school sports is in the books for Buffalo and Kaycee athletes, and it was again a good weekend overall.

The Bison boys' basketball team took both of their games this weekend, beating Wheatland 50-42 and Rawlins 80-77 in overtime.

Broncs / Lady Broncs sweep South / Eagles / Rams split / Cowboys at San Jose St. Today

BRONC / LADY BRONC HOOPS - The Sheridan high school basketball teams swept games from Cheyenne South Friday night, the Lady Broncs won 69-31 at home the Broncs beat the Bison 68-64.

Today they play Laramie both varsity games tip at 1:00 you can hear the girls live on 87.7 FM and the boys on 14-10 KWYO.

RAMS / EAGLES HOOPS - The Big Horn and Tongue River basketball teams split their games at Big Horn Friday night the Lady Eagles beat the Lady Rams 60-46 and the Rams took the boys game 72-38.

Today Big Horn travels to Greybull while TR heads out on the road to Wright.

Bronc Wrestlers win dual in Gillette / Live SHS Hoops tonight

BRONC WRESTLING - The Bronc wrestlers won their conference dual in Gillette Thursday night taking the dual 37-28.

They finish the conference dual season 5-0 and get ready to host the East regional tournament which starts a week from today.

BRONC / LADY BRONC HOOPS - The Sheridan high school basketball teams continue league tonight against Cheyenne South both games tip at 7:00 the Broncs game can be heard on 14-10 KWYO and the lady broncs on 87.7 FM.

SC splits games in Powell / Cowgirls finally get it done on the road

SC HOOPS - The Sheridan college basketball teams split at Northwest college in Powell Wednesday night.

The Lady Generals lost 78-75 and the Generals got a late three point basket from Jamir Andrews and beat the Trappers 79-78 Andrews hit the game winner with seven seconds to play.

Next up for both teams are home games next Wednesday against Miles City, Montana.

COWGIRL HOOPS - The Wyoming Cowgirls won their first road conference game of the season Wednesday night at San Diego state 69-60. The Cowboys and Cowgirls play Saturday against San Jose state.

COWBOY BASKETBALL - The Wyoming cowboys beat 5th ranked San Diego state last night 68-62. It was the Cowboys first win over a top five ranked team since 1998.

COWGIRL BASKETBALL - The Wyoming Cowgirls play at SDSU tonight we will have it live on KWYO and 87.7 FM pregame starts at 6:30.

SC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college basketball teams play at Northwest college in Powell tonight.

The final chance to see the Generals and Lady Generals at home will be next week on Wednesday when they host games with Miles City, Montana.

LARAMIE, Wyo. (Feb. 11, 2014) – Junior guard Riley Grabau posted 17 points and junior forward Larry Nance Jr. chipped in 14 to guide the University of Wyoming men’s basketball team to a thrilling 68-62 upset of No. 5 San Diego State on Tuesday night in the Arena-Auditorium.

The Cowboys (15-9, 6-5 MW) earned their first upset of a top-five opponent since 1998, while breaking a 20-game winning streak for the Aztecs (21-2, 10-1 MW).

SC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college basketball teams play at Northwest college in Powell tomorrow night.

The Generals have recovered from a two game losing streak two weeks ago and have won four in a row, Head coach Steve Smiley says the players did a nice job of shaking off two bad performances.

The regular season closes out in two weeks with just three games left on the schedule.
