State Wrestling and Swimming Results / Post Season Hoops in full Swing This Week / Cowboys and Cowgirls Take on CSU Tuesday

BRONC SWIMMING - The 4-A state swimming and diving championships ended the 2017 season for the Sheridan Broncs they finished 8th overall.

Oscar Patten was the lone Bronc to make all state he did it the 200 IM his time was just 8 hundreths of a second off the Bronc school record.

BRONC WRESTLING - The Bronc wrestlers finished 9th at the state championships Hayden Hastings was the lone Bronc state champ the future Wyoming Cowboy finished his season 32-0 and a state champ at 170 pounds.

Other Bronc placers Trenten Heil finished 3rd, Trevon Covolo was 5th, Quinn Heyneman was 5th and Jacek Aksamit was 6th and Carter Mangus was 4th.

BIG HORN BASKETBALL - The 2-A East regional basketball tournament finished up Saturday both the Big Horn Rams and Lady Rams advanced to this week's state tournament the Lady Rams will have a number one seed after beating Pine Bluffs in the regional title game the Rams will have two seed after dropping the title game against Pine Bluffs.

They open the state tournament Thursday evening at Casper college both teams open with Lovell the Lady Rams play at 6:00 and the Rams at 7:30 both games will be broadcast live on KWYO and 87.7 FM.

A/C BASKETBALL - The Arvada / Clearmont teams both will make the trip to the state tournament the Lady Panthers have a four seed the Panthers will be a three seed.

The Lady Panthers open Thursday with Farson and the Panthers face Little Snake River.

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball teams dropped games with Gillette in the regular season finale.

The Lady Broncs lost 67-27 for the second time the Broncs and Camels went into overtime with Gillette coming out on top after the Broncs won in Gillette three weeks ago.

Head coach Jeff Martini says it was another great game between to good teams and the Broncs just came up a little short.

The regular season is now over and Martini says the big prize is still out at the state tournament next week.

The 4-A East regional basketball tournament opens Thursday in Gillette the Lady Broncs open at 4:00 against Cheyenne Central we will have the game live on KWYO and 87.7 FM.

The Broncs play in the semi finals Friday evening at 5:30 against the winner of the Laramie / Cheyenne Central game.

SC BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college basketball teams open their post season this week the Lady Generals will open with a first round road game at Miles City, Montana Friday night the Generals will play Saturday evening at home against Northwest college tip off will be at 5:00 all first round Region Nine tournament games are played at host sites before bracket play begins.

UW BASKETBALL - The Wyoming Cowboys and Cowgirls have Colorado state on the schedule tomorrow the Pokes play in Fort Collins broadcast time is at 7:30 on KWYO and 87.7 FM.
