STATE SWIMMING / DIVING - At the 4-A state swimming and diving championships the Sheridan Lady Broncs finished 6th, Gretchen Dougherty all-stated in the 100 butterfly finishing 3rd.

STATE VOLLEYBALL - The Big Horn Lady Rams finished 2nd at the state volleyball tournament they lost in the title match to Thermopolis in three matches.

The Tongue River Lady Eagles were eliminated from the tournament Saturday morning in the consolation bracket., their season ended with a loss against Wright in the consolation semi final.

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Sheridan Broncs beat Casper Kelly Walsh Friday night 35-14.

The Broncs built up a 17-7 halftime lead and put kw away mid way through the 4th quarter. Head coach Don Julian was pleased with a great effort with the team overcoming some injuries especially to two-way starter Daniel Sessions.

Senior Quarterback Kevin Bakkehaug really stepped up his play to lead the Broncs Friday night.

The Broncs play in Gillette Friday night in the semi finals the game will kickoff at 7:00 we will have it live on KWYO and 87.7 ESPN radio.

RAMS FOOTBALL - The Big Horn Rams blew out Kemmerer Friday 45-6 to advance to the 2-A semi finals. The Rams scored on their first five possessions and led 35-0 at halftime Head coach Micheal McGuire pleased to be advancing to the semi finals.

The Rams will host Lovell in the semi finals Friday afternoon and McGuire says now the playoffs get serious against a very good team.

The Rams and Bulldogs will play in Bighorn Friday at 1:00 live on KWYO and 87.7 FM.

COWBOY FOOTBALL - The Wyoming Cowboys got blown out by Boise state Saturday this week the Pokes will host the "Border War" with Colorado state. kickoff in Laramie is Saturday at 1:30.

BRONCO FOOTBALL - The Denver Broncos whipped New Orleans as Peyton Manning threw for 305 yards and three touchdowns. this week the Broncos are back on the road for a game at Cincinnati.

SC HOOPS - The 2012-13 local basketball season opens this weekend with the Sheridan college Lady Generals hosting a two day tournament Friday and Saturday and the Generals playing both Friday and Saturday at a tournament in Gillette.
