State Championship Football Preview / Cowgirls Rout Chadron State / Pokes and Broncos Idle This Week

STATE CHAMPIONSHIP FOOTBALL - The Big Horn Rams take on Cokeville for the 1-A football state championship Saturday afternoon in the first game of our championship doubleheader live from Laramie the Sheridan Broncs face off with Natrona county for the 4-A championship

This is the 10th year the state football title games have been played in Laramie and this will be the Broncs 7th trip to the championship game they've won five and lost one and Head coach Jeff Mowry says it's been quite a run for the program since 2009.

And Mowry says this is such a great accomplishment for this year's team because of how the season went down with two early devastating losses and then running off 7 straight wins to get to the finals.

The Rams senior class were state champs as sophomores winning the 2-A title in 2016 last year they lost on a late touchdown drive and first Head coach Kirk Mclaughlin says this has been a great group to coach over the last three seasons.

And taking a tough loss a year ago in the championship started the title run for this season.

You can hear both games for you live on 14-10 KWYO and 106.9 FM the Big Horn pregame show we will start our coverage at 12:30 with kickoff at 1:00 the Bronc pregame show will follow the Rams game at around 3:30 with kickoff scheduled for 4:00.
