SRD / Rockies Drop two at the Nats / Troopers Open State Tomorrow

SRD - The Sheridan Recreation District will be heading into fall sports mode in a couple of weeks as the post season has started for adult summer softball.

We sat down with adult sports Specialist Zach Stewart at the Sheridan softball complex this week they wrapped up the Women's league championship late last week and Stewart says they had a good season and will be looking to get a few more teams in the league in 2020.

And with a few more rain out days this year Stewart says it got a little more busy but they were able to keep the season on schedule and starting Monday the post season tournaments start for Co-Rec and Men's leagues.

And the transition towards fall sports is already underway with several programs getting started next month.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers open their state tournament tomorrow in Gillette they open with Evanston at 10:00 am.

Following the Troopers game Jackson takes on Laramie then Casper meets up with Cody and Gillette will play Rock Springs in the late game. The state tournament in double elimination with the state title game is scheduled for Tuesday afternoon.

ROCKIES BASEBALL - The Colorado Rockies were swept in a day / night double header yesterday at Washington Nationals, Jack Corrigan has the game wrap up. You can hear the Rockies today on Fox Sports radio 87.7 FM.

GOLF - Today is the entry deadline for the Kendrick golf course annual club championship set for Saturday and Sunday to register stop by the golf shop at Kendrick golf course.
