SRD Outdoor Programming / Troops Play Evanston in State Tourney Opener / Rockies top the Nats

SRD - As we mentioned yesterday the Sheridan Recreation District will be heading into fall sports mode in a few weeks as summer programs start to wrap up over the next couple of weeks and there is a little more than a month left of the Kendrick pool season.

Adult sports specialist Zach Stewart says participation numbers in their summer programs has been very good

and he says this summer they started more outdoor sports programming for youth using the big horn mountains and those programs had good numbers as well.

Starting Monday and running all next week adult summer softball leagues wrap up their season with their post season tournaments.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers open their state tournament today in Gillette they open with Evanston at 10 o'clock.

Following the Troopers game Jackson takes on Laramie then Casper faces Cody and Gillette squares off with Rock Springs in the late game.

The state tournament in double elimination with the state title game is scheduled for Tuesday afternoon.

ROCKIES BASEBALL - The Colorado Rockies finally beat the Washington Nationals, Jack Corrigan has the game wrap up. You can hear the Rockies today on Fox Sports radio 87.7 FM.
