REC. DISTRICT ADULT SOFTBALL - The Sheridan Recreation District is two weeks into their adult summer softball season, weather has washed out several days but sports specialist Robbie Spencer says the teams have made the best of the situation and he appreciates everyone's understanding and they are using make up days to get caught up.

The league's both Co-rec and Men's are strong this year with the addition of several new teams.

Next Saturday their will be a Co-rec tournament and a special home run derby at the Sheridan softball complex.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers start play today at a tournament in Omaha, Nebraska with two games one against Lafayette, Colorado and the other will be against Creighton prep from Nebraska.

Tomorrow they have one game against Brighton, Colorado and Sunday they play Northglenn, Colorado, they will close out the tournament with a double header on Monday.

The next Troopers home date will be June 20th against the Billings Halos.

JETS BASEBALL - The Sheridan Jets will play a double header Sunday at Thorne-Rider stadium against the Billings Angles the first game will be played at 1:00.

BIG HORN MTN. WILD AND SCENIC TRAIL RUN - The Big Horn Wild and Scenic trail run scenic trail run begins today with the 100 mile competitors taking to the course in the Big Horn mountains.

The 50 mile, 50K and 30K races all begin tomorrow with the conclusion of the event Sunday morning at 8:00 with a pancake breakfast for the competitors on Grinnell Plaza.

ROCKIES BASEBALL - The Colorado Rockies dropped a game to the Washington Nationals last night, tonight they open a weekend home series with Philadelphia you can hear the game live on 87.7 FM ESPN radio, Rockies pregame starts at 6:05 with the first pitch at 6:40.
