Spring Golf Concludes / State Track Opens Thursday / Troopers Play two at Thorne-Rider Sunday

HIGH SCHOOL GOLF - The Bronc and Lady Bronc golfers concluded their spring season at the 4-A East conference tournament yesterday in Cheyenne.

The Lady Broncs finished 4th overall Abby James finished 3rd and Hannah Detmer was 5th for the Broncs they finished 3rd and Kirby Coe-Kirkham finished off his high school career as the individual medalist with a 142 total shooting scores of 72 and 70 for the win

STATE TRACK AND FIELD - The 2018 all class Wyoming state track and field championships start tomorrow in Casper and the Sheridan Bronc and Lady Bronc teams are expecting to contend for championships this spring.

Sheridan high school Head coach Taylor Kelting says it is all about team and building confidence in all the athletes.

Both teams are coming off good finishes at the regional meet and Kelting says they need to keep that momentum going.

And finally he says both teams will be in the mix on Saturday for the state championships but he says there are several teams that will also be battling to bring home a title.

The state meet opens tomorrow morning with the 3200 meter finals at 11:00 and several field events across all classes will start in the morning as well. Thursday will conclude with the finals in the 3200 meter relays.

TROOPERS BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers play their next two games at the Billings Scarlets Saturday afternoon.

They will play at Thorne-Rider stadium Sunday hosting a doubleheader with the Billings Cardinals the first game will start at 1:00.

ROCKIES BASEBALL - The Colorado Rockies lost at San Diego yesterday 4-0 they managed to get no hit into the 8th inning, Trevor Story had the Rockies only hit a single in the 8th inning.

They are off today and will open a series at San Francisco tomorrow night you can hear that broadcast on Fox Sports radio 87.7 FM starting at 7:30.

SRD ADULT SOFTBALL LEAGUES - Today is the team registration deadline for the Sheridan Recreation District adult summer softball leagues any teams planning on fielding a team need to stop by the Rec office in Thorne-Rider park.
