Soccer / Track culminating events start today / Troopers prepare for a busy weekend / Rockies fall against the Giants

STATE SOCCER - The Sheridan Lady Bronc soccer team is in Rock Springs today to open the state tournament they take on Casper Kelly Walsh in the first round.

STATE TRACK AND FIELD - The all class Wyoming state track and field championships start today at Kelly Walsh high school in Casper.

Sheridan high school Head coach Art Baures says now is the time for the athletes to put forth their best performances of the season.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers are scheduled to play their next four games in Gillette starting Friday evening.

They will open the Gillette memorial day tournament tomorrow against the host team then play two games Saturday then back over on Monday for one more game.

The Troopers are 3-3 on the season after taking three out of four on the road this past weekend, Head coach Ben Phillips.

Starting this week the schedule really kicks into gear.

They have a few injuries keeping some starters out of the line up and that has some younger guys in the line up and Phillips says they have answered the call.

They will play at Thorne-Rider stadium next Thursday when they host a double header with Douglas.

ROCKIES BASEBALL - The Colorado Rockies lost 5-1 against San Francisco last night, we will have today's get away game for you live the first pitch will be tossed out at 1:10 on 87.7 FM ESPNradio.

Following today's game the "Rocks' will play their next nine games on the road starting in Atlanta tomorrow.
