Sheridan City Golf Championship is Next Week / Rockies Losing Streak Reaches Eight / Lady Generals Volleyball set to Host a Youth Camp

KENDRICK GOLF COURSE - Kendrick golf course will host the Sheridan city championship next weekend Saturday and Sunday July 8th and 9th.

Kendrick golf course Professional Brian James says the City championship is great tradition for local golfers.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers picked up another victory in Rapid City Tuesday winning 15-0 behind the pitching of Quinton Brooks they head to Cheyenne for a tournament tomorrow.

The pitching has been the key the Troopers success most of the season and Head coach Ben Phillips says the entire staff has been solid for the most part for the last two months.

Troopers Head to RC Today / Rockies Losing Streak Reaches six / SRD has "Fresh air Friday" This Week

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers are coming off a Doubleheader sweep at Cody Head coach Ben Phillips says pitching played a big factor in both victories.

The play a Doubleheader at Rapid City Post #320 today they head to Cheyenne for a tournament Thursday they'll play four games.

RODEO - The National Junior High Finals rodeo closed out over the weekend in Lebanon, Tennessee Tavy Leno from Sheridan finished 14th in the Average in the Goat Tying she also competed in the Ribbon Roping Cade Relaford had one qualifying ride in the Bronc Riding.

The National High School Finals rodeo will be in Gillette and starts July 16th.

The 2017 Sheridan WYO rodeo week starts July 10th.

NJRHFR Continues / Troopers Play two in Cody Tonight / Rockies Head to LA

YOUTH RODEO - The National Junior High Finals rodeo continues today in Lebanon, Tennessee in the Bronc riding Cade Relaford finished up his second ride Thursday posting a score of 44 after getting a no time in his first ride.

Tavy Leno posted times of 9.67 and 10.67 in her two runs in the Goat Tying she has one more run to make in the Ribbon Roping that will be tomorrow morning.

The finals of all the events will take place tomorrow night.

SRD - The Sheridan Recreation District has their first "Fresh Air Friday" outing for kids today.

Sheridan's Newest Park to Come on Line in August / Rockies fall to the D-Backs / Troopers Play two in Cody Tomorrow

SHERIDAN REC. DISTRICT - The Sheridan Recreation District board met Wednesday one of the agenda items was an update on the new West 5th street park and sports fields.

SRD Director Richard Wright says the new park is expected to open in August.

The new park will be a first for the Rec district it's called a "Fertigation" system that will water and feed the grass at the same time.

Sheridan "Young Riders" Rodeo Results

The 17th annual Young Rider Rodeo was held at the Sheridan County Fairgrounds on Saturday, June 17.

65 contestants entered, Wyoming was represented from Sheridan, Wolf, Moorcroft, Casper, Dayton, Banner, Greybull, Clearmont, Ranchester and Gillette while Montana was represented from Busby, Billings, Shepherd, Hardin and Broadus.

This rodeo is held every Father’s Day weekend and contestant ages were from 2 years to 18 years.
