SHS Hosts the Sheridan Track Invite Saturday / Troopers Finally get Outside / Rockies Stay Hot

TRACK AND FIELD - The annual Gary Benson "Border War" track went off without a hitch Monday nine schools battled it out at Homer Scott stadium with the Sheridan Lady Broncs taking the girls team title with 139.5 points Billings West was 2nd with 96 points.

The boys team race came down to Sheridan and Natrona county with the Mustangs winning with 118 points to the Broncs 107 points.

Coming up on Saturday the annual "Dan Hansen" Sheridan invitational meet will take place with events starting at 10 am.

SOCCER - The Bronc and Lady Bronc soccer teams start the second round of conference play this week the Broncs will play at Laramie and Cheyenne South while the Lady Broncs play at home.

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers will open the season in a couple weeks in Casper they finally got outside this week to practice.

Head coach Ben Phillips says the weather has been brutal for them over the last few weeks and it was nice to get the players out on "Ernie Rottelini" field Monday.

He says all the pitchers have been throwing indoors for the last several weeks and arms are in good shape right now.
