AMERICAN LEGION BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers are 8-22 and will play two in Rapid City tonight. The Troops have looked pretty good the last few weeks but have taken some tough losses in some close games and Head coach Ben Phillips says they would like to see more consistent play.

For the most part the the defense has been getting better but they are leaving too many runners on base.

Phillips ramped up the schedule this year with more games against better opponents so they don't have a gaudy record but playing the tougher games will pay off when they get ready for post season play.
