The Sheridan Troopers Baseball Season Continues at the Northwest Regional Tournament Wednesday / Rockies Fall at the Mets

TROOPER BASEBALL - The Sheridan Troopers will open the American Legion Northwest Regional baseball tournament in Cheyenne Wednesday afternoon.

The Troopers qualified for the tournament by beating Gillette 10-9 in 10 innings at the state tournament Friday, they lost the state title game against Cheyenne but Cheyenne is hosting the regional tournament and gets an automatic bid so the Troopers will represent Wyoming and will play the Billings Scarlets Wednesday afternoon at 3:30.

Troops Head coach Ben Phillips says the players made a great run during the state tournament.

Then they had to play Cheyenne in the title game but Ben says there was no let down and the players did a great job representing Sheridan and Sheridan county.

The Troopers are 42-22 heading into the regional tournament and Phillips says an incredible season continues for another week.

Finally today they leave for Cheyenne tomorrow then it's back to business for the players.
