Sheridan College’s Hanson pledges to Yellowjackets

Sheridan College sophomore basketball player Tiana Hanson has verbally committed to play for Montana State University-Billings next season.

Hanson, a native of Shepherd, Montana, about 20 miles from Billings, will have two years of eligibility with the MSU-B Yellowjackets, a NCAA Division II school competing in the 11-team Great Northwest Athletic Conference.

After a solid freshman season, Hanson, a 6-foot-1 forward, has established herself as an elite playmaker in the NJCAA ranks. She is 11th in the nation in points per game (21.3) and 17th in rebounds (11.0), according to the NJCAA’s website.

Hanson joins fellow SC star sophomore forward Sierra Toms (Black Hills State) in committing to play next season.
