Sheridan College Rodeo Results

This past weekend the Sheridan College Rodeo Team headed to Gillette, WY for the first spring rodeo.

The team was anxious to get things going for the spring and we had a number of individuals that did very well.

The men’s team won the team title with 585 points. Chance Ames won the bareback riding with an outstanding short round ride of 78 points. He was followed by Hunter Carlson who was a consistent 72 in each round, Kyle Bloomquist placed 3rd in the short round and 4th in the average. Trig Clark split the 1st round in the bareback riding with a 74 point ride.

In the saddle bronc riding Tayte Clark won the long round and was 3rd in the short round and won the average title. Sam Thurston was 2nd in the long round but bucked off in the short round. Garrett Uptain placed 5th in the long round and 6th in the average.

In the bullriding Garrett Uptain was 5th in the long round and placed 5th in the average. John Lopez was 3rd in the short round an placed 3rd in the average.

In the team roping Colby Hetzel placed 2nd in the long round and placed 3rd in the average. Trase Johnson placed 7th in the long round and 8th in the average.

On the women’s side Cricket Cunningham placed 10th in the long round in the goat tying and placed 10th in the average. Breanna Reimler placed 4th in the long round in the barrel racing and placed 7th in the short round.
