Sheridan college hoops on the road this week / Cowboys win / Winter Sports underway

SHERIDAN COLLEGE BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college basketball teams play on the road this week. The Lady Generals picked up two more victories over the weekend and sit at 7-1 over all Head coach Frank McCarthy.

They play two games at a tournament at North Idaho community college this week and McCarthy says the competition will be tough which is just what the Lady Generals need right now.

The Generals dropped their first game of the season losing to NJC Saturday Head coach Steve Smiley says the loss was an attention getter for the Generals.

They play three on the road this week starting tonight in Billings against the Rocky Mountain college JV's then a trip to the College of Southern Idaho in Twin Falls on the weekend.

The next home dates for both teams will be next Wednesday when they host Colorado Northwestern games will be at 5:30 and 7:30 and we will be broadcasting both games live on KWYO and 87.7 FM.

COWBOY BASKETBALL - The Wyoming basketball Cowboys beat Jackson state last night 73-65 to go to 3-1 on the season, the Pokes host South Dakota Friday night tip off at 8:00 on KWYO and 87.7 FM.

COWGIRL BASKETBALL - The Wyoming Cowgirls are 3-0 and play at home Saturday night against Pepperdine you can hear it live on KWYO and 87.7 FM tip off is at 6:00.

COWBOY FOOTBALL - The Wyoming football Cowboys play in Laramie Saturday against Hawaii it's an early start with pregame 11:00 and kickoff at noon on KWYO and 87.7 FM.

BRONC FOOTBALL - The Denver Broncos play at New England Sunday night live on KWYO and 87.7 FM pregame starts at 4:35.

HIGH SCHOOL WINTER SPORTS - The high school winter sports season is underway with the start of practice for basketball and wrestling.

The first weekend of games and matches will be December 6th and 7th the Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball teams host a double header with Green River to open the season Friday, December 6th.

The Bronc wrestlers open on the 6th as well at a tournament in Powell.
