Sheridan College adds Douglas standout Kiersten Leach
Sheridan College volleyball is pleased to announce the addition of Wyoming standout Kiersten Leach a 5’10” middle hitter from Douglas, WY.

“It’s always great to be able to sign local talent to our roster,” said SC head coach Jennifer Stadler. “Kiersten come from a great high school program that really develops athletes at a high level.

Kiersten’s high school program made it to the quarterfinals at state this year and won state last year for 3A volleyball. “

Leach helped lead Douglas High School to the state championship last year and to the state tournament this season where the Bearcats finished fourth overall.

During her senior season, Leach tallied 346 kills which ranked her 2nd in 3A for most kills and 11th in the state. She had 73 stuff blocks (3rd most in 3A and 7th in the state. She received first team all-conference honors as well as Best Offensive Player.

Last season she was also selected to participate in the Wyoming All-Star games, which will take place in July.

“Kiersten is extremely quick laterally and explodes fast at the net. She has a huge presence at the net and has an attack offensive mindset.

She has a huge drive and passion for the sport and will be a huge asset to our front row for next season.” Stadler said. “

Kiersten also works hard and excels in the classroom coming to Sheridan on high academic honors. She plans to major in either business or dental hygiene.
