SC Splits with Gillette / Cowboys win at Nevada / Cowgirls host the Wolfpack tonight

GENERALS / LADY GENERALS BASKETBALL - The Sheridan college basketball teams split games with Gillette Tuesday night, the Lady Generals won the Generals fell in a tight game.

The Lady Generals have won nine of their last ten games, Head coach Frank McCarthy says they had to play well to get the win last night.

They have two games to play with one conference game at Miles City and a chance to wrap up a #2 seed going into their region nine tournament.

The Generals fell in a high scoring shoot out, 101-96 was the final in the loss Head coach Matt Hammer did see some good things.

Along with the Lady Generals they play two road games at Miles City and Eastern Wyoming before post season play begins.

BRONC / LADY BRONC BASKETBALL - The Bronc and Lady Bronc basketball teams hit the road for more conference action this week they will play at Laramie Friday and at Cheyenne South Saturday.

RAMS / EAGLES - The Big Horn basketball teams host Sundance Friday and play at Tongue River. TR has Wright on the road Friday and Big Horn in Dayton.

The Rams and Lady Rams host the 2-A East regional tournament starting Thursday, February 26th.

WRESTLING - The Bronc wrestlers compete at the 4-A East regional tournament starting Friday at Cheyenne South high school, the all class state championships open in Casper Friday February 27th.

SWIMMING - The Bronc swimmers are off this week as they continue preparation for their state championships which begin in Gillette on the 26th.

INDOOR TRACK - Sheridan high school indoor track team qualifiers compete at the annual Simplot games in Pocatello, Idaho that meet starts tomorrow.

COWBOYS - The Wyoming basketball Cowboys beat Nevada on the road last night, the Pokes were down 14 at halftime but caught fire the second half scoring 51 points after the break to win it 64-58.

The Cowboys now have a week off, their next game is next Wednesday at home against Fresno State.

COWGIRLS - The Cowgirls host Nevada tonight, you can hear the game live on 14-10 KWYO pregame at 6:30 and the tip at 7:00.
