SC splits games in Powell / Cowgirls finally get it done on the road

SC HOOPS - The Sheridan college basketball teams split at Northwest college in Powell Wednesday night.

The Lady Generals lost 78-75 and the Generals got a late three point basket from Jamir Andrews and beat the Trappers 79-78 Andrews hit the game winner with seven seconds to play.

Next up for both teams are home games next Wednesday against Miles City, Montana.

COWGIRL HOOPS - The Wyoming Cowgirls won their first road conference game of the season Wednesday night at San Diego state 69-60. The Cowboys and Cowgirls play Saturday against San Jose state.

BRONC / LADY BRONC HOOPS - The Sheridan high school basketball teams continue league play this week with games against Cheyenne South and Laramie.

The Lady Broncs are 16-1 overall and 5-0 in conference play Head coach Jessica Pickett says the girls are playing well and defense and rebounding are the two area's they continue to work on.

The Broncs are13-4 overall and 3-2 in conference as the second half of the conference season begins, Head coach Gale Smith.

RAMS / EAGLES HOOPS - The Big Horn and Tongue River basketball teams play at Big Horn high school tomorrow evening.

Saturday Big Horn will play at Greybull while the Eagles and Lady Eagles play at Wright.

INDOOR TRACK - The Sheridan high school indoor track qualifiers head to the Simplot games today in Pocatello, Idaho.

WRESTLING - -The Bronc wrestlers wrap up their regular season tonight with a dual in Gillette. The Broncs will host the East regional tournament next weekend.

The broncs have had a tremendous season so far and we heard from Head coach Tyson Shatto yesterday, Sheridan high school Activities Director Don Julian says several factors and played into the Bronc's success including getting more home matches.

STATE SOCCER / CROSS COUNTRY - The Wyoming high school activities association held meeting yesterday in Casper. Don Julian says he was able to get state soccer back to Sheridan county and also got state cross country extended another two years in Sheridan.

SWIMMING - The Bronc swimmers will be in Gillette tomorrow and Saturday for their conference meet then a week off before the start of the state championships back in Gillette starting February 28th.
