SC Generals Rodeo results

Sheridan College rodeo team traveled to Lamar, CO this past week here are the results:

The men’s team placed fourth they were unable to capitalize this weekend in the short round.

Hunter Carlson won the bareback riding with a total on two head of 155 points. He was 72 in the long round, drew a bucker in the short round, and scored 83 points.

Chance Ames placed fifth long round in the bareback riding fifth in the short round and fifth in the average with a total on two head of 137. Chance rode well just did not draw a bucker.

Kyle Bloomquist placed sixth in the short round in the bareback riding and sixth in the short round.

Cole Reiner made the short round in the bareback riding but failed to place in the rounds.

In the saddle bronc riding Freshman Ian McGivney from Kaycee, WY split fifth and sixth place with a score of 69 in the long round, he rode a rank horse in the short round for 72 points and third place he placed third in the average.

Teammate Ky’s Thomson won the long round with a score of 73 points but was unable to finish a great ride in the short round and ended up sixth in the average.

Sam Thurston split third and fourth in the long round with a score of 70 points, he was bucked off a rank horse in the short round.

Garrett Uptain made the short round in the bronc riding with a score of 68 points, which placed him ninth in the round he was bucked off in the short round. He also made the short round in the bull riding scoring 72 points to place second he was bucked off in the short round and placed fourth in the average.

Tyrell Ward won the long round in the bull riding with a score of 77 points. He was bucked off a rank one in the short round he placed third in the average. Tyrell also placed third in the long round in the steer wrestling and he placed sixth in the short round and sixth in the average.

On the women’s team Taylor Bothwell made the short round with a time of 8.7 seconds in the goat tying, she matched her long round time of 8.7 in the short round and placed fifth which placed her fifth in the average.

We had a number of women just barely miss the short round in the breakaway roping and the barrel racing. We look to practice hard this week and take advantage in Riverton, WY this weekend.
